Frequently asked Questions
Are You a Counselor?
I am not a traditional counselor, although I do offer a sympathetic and non-judgemental ear and I understand the complex issues people may have. I have studied in many fields and honed my skills in order to offer you the most effective tools available.
My approach does not take years to have an effect, nor does it involve having endless painful conversations about your problems. These things are unnecessary for many people. My approach is generally quick, relatively painless, and extremely effective. And it leads to lasting change. The process can be fun and wonderfully liberating.
When you are my client, I put a lot of work and resources into you. I am 100% focused on getting you where you need to be. I give it all I've got for every single client, working together actively for change, and using just the right tools for you, which is why I have such a good reputation for helping people. What more could you want?
How long does it take to work?
It depends, but I want you to heal your issues and see amazing results as quickly as possible. I am not one of those therapists who wants to keep you coming back and spending your money. I want to help as many people as I can. I would far rather help you get through your stuff quickly, for you to be delighted with your results, and tell other people about your great experience, so I can help them too.
Life & Recovery Coaching
Most people who come for Life Coaching, who are struggling to achieve their goals, usually book a series of sessions of ongoing support, wherein we do both change work and progress towards goals. You can work with me for as long as you need my guidance.
I can usually remove a specific lifelong phobia within one 60-90 minute session, with a second follow-up session to check that there is nothing further to work on.
Treating complex issues can take 2 or 3 sessions to see meaningful results. I always suggest a block of 6 in order to work on other underlying issues that may be complicating the problem. But I'm pretty flexible and will never lock you into booking a number of sessions. You can choose to work with me, paying as you go, until you have achieved as much healing and progress as you need.
I recommend at least 6 sessions to give you the tools and clarity you need to overcome your addiction. I work fast and deep when dealing with addictions, teaching you all the things you never understood about the trap of addiction, freeing you from past issues that created painful feelings, and creating a wonderful new sense of freedom and a sense of control over your destiny from now on.
People are often amazed that it can take as little as 6 sessions to beat addiction and start recovering, but really it can. I get cards, emails, texts, and letters from people telling me they are still sober years after the short and intense addictions work we did together.
Where do you work?
I currently work in Islington, North London (N7) for 1:1 sessions. If it is too far for you to travel, I offer Skype and telephone therapy and coaching too. In some circumstances, I will visit clients in their own home or meet with them in a public place or seminar room.
Workshops will be carried out on your own premises.
What are your hours?
I offer daytime, evening, and a limited number of weekend sessions and try to accommodate you where I can. I work with people all over the world, and can usually find a time that works for us both.
What's your background?
I love helping people, and my heart has always lain in social care, particularly focusing on addictions. My last employee role before founding my own service was as at an alcohol and drug charity as a Project Co-ordinator helping people who had overcome addictions move on with their lives.
I still volunteer within the social care field, regularly working with the homeless, and I was Chairwoman for a London drug and alcohol charity.
As time has gone on, I have studied and mastered many different therapies and tools, so I can give the best service possible to all my clients.
Can I afford it?
As a wise person once said to me when I said I couldn't afford treatment, “Can you afford not to?” To be free of something that has held you back for your entire life, or to be able to overcome seemingly insurmountable barriers, is priceless.
This is a service and not as simple as buying a new TV or a haircut – you are paying for a new opportunity and the chance of a life you always wanted.
I have a range of options and packages to suit your needs, and run a sliding scale so that hopefully everyone can afford my service. That said, I am considered a specialist in my field, so you are very much paying for a high quality service.
I offer every client a FREE no-obligation 'Road to Recovery' Session to uncover what exactly is keeping you stuck, the first steps you'll need to take to move forward, and to get you feeling more positive about the future. It's only fair that you get to try before you buy. When you sign up to my newsletter, I offer exclusive discounts and added bonuses, too.
What have you already spent on your problem? And what would you continue to spend if it continued?
Is there anything you can't help me with?
I work with a wide range of clients and with a vast array of issues. I have worked with clients who are just "stuck" and with others suffering from specific mental health issues, from Anxiety Disorders to PTSD to OCD.
There may be limited instances where I can't work with an individual or where I think alternative treatment options may suit you. If I think I can't work with you, I will be honest about that. If I can, I will refer you to someone I think is more suitable to help you.
I will also only work with people within a framework of mutual respect and commitment. I would hope that goes without saying.
Isn't Coaching and positive thinking and all that just a load of pink and fluffy old nonsense?
No, NLP is based on neuroscience and coaching is based on psychology, as are all the other tools I use. It's not about believing in angels or simply wishing for a Ferrari, or all those other things that often get linked with professions that are not well understood. Once you experience the power of these tools and the results you can get when you follow up with action, you'll see what I mean.

Can I give Life Coaching, NLP, and Therapy sessions as a gift?
Yes, I offer gift vouchers, although I must be certain before beginning work that the person who received them is willing and ready for change. Coaching and therapy can only be done with willing clients (well, that's not strictly true, but in order to get the most personal benefit, it is).
